She was part of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the Youth Symphony Orchestra in Mexico City and other different orchestras, Chamber Orchestras, Quartets and Bands. Born in the US, raised in Seoul, lived in Cologne for two years, she speaks three languages. She believes this experience of learning languages expanded her sight and consciousness and helped her communicate with variable students in her unique way. While pursuing a Music Education degree with Piano Pedagogy certificate at University of Toronto, he had fell in love with piano education.

Joseph Hsieh was born in Taiwan and started to learn the piano at the age of 5. He attended an arts high school in Taipei, Taiwan where he studied piano and voice. After completing high school, he attended the Cleveland Institute of Music in Cleveland, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree.
All instructors are qualified educators that hold excellent teaching experience and continue to work in the industry as professional performers both in Canada and internationally. Our Teaching Artists are committed to arts education and recognize that each person is different and may learn differently and is dedicated to helping each student grow as a musician and an artist. Julie teaches preliminary to intermediate level piano and theory. She studied the piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto since 1987. Emma graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017, with a bachelor’s degree in Music performance. She is a multi-instrumentalist who teaches violin, brass and woodwinds, and beginner piano.

At age 9 landed her first big role in her school’s production of Gulliver’s Travels. Lindsay has also sang at multiple music festivals and local concerts where she did all arranging of musical material for her band, set lists and designs as well as leading rehearsals for each performance. On top of singing and piano, Lindsay has studied flute for many years and have taught it for just as long to many highschool students. Guitarist Peter Albis has been a professional musician for 30 years composing and performing in the classical, rock, jazz, latin and flamenco styles. He is an affiliated teacher with The Royal Conservatory of Music. Peter has studied flamenco guitar with masters Julio Vallejo and Jose Chuscales, classical guitar with Dan Beckerman and John Perrone, and jazz guitar with Mike Roberts.
My teaching style allows for students to build a classical foundation while expressing their own style at an increasing level. Lessons can include exercises for hand eye coordination, rhythm and groove solidification, understanding theory, improvising, performing fun songs, and finding ways to make technique fun. I enjoy teaching all levels of students and have produced positive results both in performance and cultivating a love and understanding of the arts. In addition to teaching, I sing in the Bach Elgar Choir and Play Softball on weekends. As a student, you will also have a chance to perform in annual summer recitals and holiday concerts throughout the year.
