Firefox automatically sends me to Outlook when I try to get to Hotmail.com. I have a Hotmail email address and cannot access it. I can’t access my email account either. This hotmail account was my first email account ever so I don’t want to lose everything. I hope they are able to fix this. I’m having the same problem in Moscow both when i try to access from my phone and from my computer. The currently signed in user does not have a valid account state (‘AccountDeleted’). Cant connect on my macbook pro, but can access on iPad. These greedy people cannot leave this free service alone. Now we must pay $99/yr to be free of the ads. I refreshed my screen and changed to Beta.
Can’t get past a click or two on my imac and Chrome browser. If I can open an email, I can’t respond, delete open another etc. But usually it just opens the page and then nothing is functional.

Cannot delete the accoount, cannot change the password into it, cannot change app password. After 30 years with Microsoft I think I am just about done. I constantly get the prompt “There was an issue looking up your account.
I cannot log in to my hotmail/outlook account. I get a blank, white page when I go to the log-in screen. Really angry, annoyed and fed up with Hotmail !

Since Saturday Jan. 30th 2016 I have not been able to login to my live account. Overtime I change the password it does not work. Something is definately not working, but I am surprised more people are not experiencing it. Anyone else out there have this problem? Got transferred to Outlook, no warning. Access via laptop was ok but android started to fail with an authentication error.

No idea what either of these us about. The easiest solution is simply to logon to the outlook.live website directly and select the ‘gearwheel’ icon from the top menu and then ‘Options’ from the bottom of the list. This should give you a menu down the LH side of the screen. From it, select “POP and IMAP” and you will see that “POP Options” is set to “No”. Change it to “Yes” and your access should be restored.
