God's Power to Change Your Life
Almighty God, today the Church recalls the conversion of Saint Paul. His dramatic encounter on his way to Damascus blinded him and caused him to fall to the ground. When major events in our lives challenge us, help us to pause, listen, and reflect. Help us to gain insight from these events, and may they always lead us back to you. What are the most important days on the Christian calendar? But the first followers of Jesus Christ observed neither of those days.
Open my spiritual eyes and ears that I may hear and see in the spirit so that I may continue to remain grounded in Your ways. You may start to sink like Peter, but the fact that you stepped out of the boat will make you stand out from the rest of the people that are still in the boat. And the good news is, Jesus will stretch his hand and draw you out of the water. Start preparing yourself for what you are praying for.
The Holy Spirit will give you a deep-seated peace when you are in line with God’s will. Thus, you should see if choosing that particular option in question will bring peace to your heart. If you have a sense of unease instead of peace then it may not be the choice you should make. We think, for example of Abraham’s servant asking God to guide him to the right woman to select as a bride for Isaac . All that Abraham required his servant to do was to find a willing bride from among Abraham’s relatives in Haran, and not from among the Canaanites who were all idolatrous (vv.3,4).
But there’s nothing that God can’t do. And he can empower you and help you overcome the obstacles you face. Sin often makes us feel as though we’re alone in our struggles.
Visualize your daily Bible study time like a miser running his hands through a chest of gold. Such images are in stark contrast to the pristine beauty and glory of Eden as presented in Genesis. Though mankind was given the mandate to “have dominion over” all of creation, we have not done a good job. When God’s mandates go unfulfilled on earth, God’s glory is diminished.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Wow, I never knew that bible could help you learn life lessons that’ll help you handle grief and other problems!

Take time to remember how much God loves you and those you are praying for. Paul wouldn’t have related to his audiences without similar experience. But fortunately, his shared background, weakness, and understanding allowed him to complete his life’s mission. He didn’t understand why Jesus’ followers eschewed all the religious customs and traditions he knew so well, and instead embraced simple faith in one Person.
I remain sober longer and longer cause it's God's will. I thank and praise Life Change Church for putting such great people in front of me so it was impossible to miss them. I grow stronger every day and praise God for it. I never knew that the bible has the power to change your mindset and improve your life. I have a colleague who feels like the pandemic has robbed him of everything in life.
It is full of life and has power to change us. But we can’t just read it and expect to be victorious Christians. God desires that we not just have the word of God near us, but in us.
These people usually have equity with you and know you personally. I have determined that I’m most passionate about people. I desire people to feel known, connected, encouraged, and understand their God-given purpose and reason for existence. What helped confirm this for me was understanding my own strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. There are many assessments and personality tests that you can take in order to help you better understand yourself. I recommend, Strengths Finder and the Enneagram test.
In essence, the Spirit of truth is here to reveal to us the life in Jesus Christ that God created through the Word of God. God created the truth or real life through Him and unbelievers are blind to this. He is the Spirit “of truth” because He sheds light on this truth. He constantly helps us by revealing Christ, guiding us into His truth, and teaching us about our lives in Him. Studying the Bible is not just an intellectual endeavor to learn about God. If you adhere to it, the Word of God literally has the power to change your soul in the midst of the corrupted world because it is truth.
You get home and it's hard to turn that corner for some of you. Because if you're good at doing something or if you've given your mind to it, it's hard to take those thoughts captive. If we find pleasure in something, we're more prone to think about it because it was rewarding for us. The world should think hedonistically.
Will you become angry at God because He is meddling? God says He has a right to tell you what is right or wrong in the most sensitive areas of your life. Some people will even start spitting in hatred at the mere thought that Someone else seeks to impose His values on them! All animals and human beings blink when suddenly exposed to light when they have been in darkness. So it is with the light of the truth. When the missionaries asked the people, "How did this happen? How has it happened that you all have become Christians"?
