So you’ve chosen the date of your first day and put in a request - how exciting! Before we can accept your dog, we need to make sure their vaccinations are up to date. This is for the safety and well-being of your dog and all the other dogs in our care.
There’s nothing better than seeing a child’s face light up when they discover or achieve something new. Our early learning centre offers the VIC Government-approved Kindergarten program, supporting your child’s development and well-being from now, at school and long daycare centre beyond. In Victoria, 3 and 4-year-old children are able to access a funded kindergarten program led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. If eligible, your child will be able to participate in the Government-approved Kindergarten  program, at no cost, up to a minimum of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

My background  includes a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I started my journey as an Early Childhood Teacher, then stepped into a Curriculum Leader role in 2023, and have been a Centre Manager since September 2024. Goodstart Early Learning acknowledges all Traditional Custodians across Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connection to the land, sky and waterways that surround us. Those children in the Nursery room follow their individual home routine.
From day one, each child is supported by a Key Educator, helping them develop a secure and trusting relationship, which supports their sense of belonging and emotional well-being. From 5 January 2026, the Australian Government is updating the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to guarantee at least 3 days of subsidised early childhood education and care per week. This means that all CCS-eligible families will receive at least 72 hours per fortnight (3 days/week) of subsidised childcare regardless of their work, study, or volunteering status. Our curriculum, which is a balance of child led and adult intentional teaching, offers children the opportunity to participate in active learning, whilst having the support and challenge they need from Educators.

Our centre is located next to the Colchester Medical Centre & opposite Colchester Nursery. Mary Oliver asked “What will you do with your one wild and precious life”, I cannot think of anything more fulfilling than what I get to do every day at Nido. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, waters, and skies where we work and live across Australia. We celebrate the stories, culture, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities, who work and live on this land. The smell of cooking from the cucina and seeing children getting involved in cooking, very much reflects that our passion for food in all our Early Schools.
They deliver an innovative program that helps children to develop the skills they’ll need to successfully transition to primary school. At Community Kids, we work closely with our families to enhance children’s development and ignite their passion for learning. We operate over 70 childcare and early learning centres, providing long day care and Government-approved Kindergarten and Preschool programs. When you walk through the door at Nido Trafalgar Early School, you’ll find a warm, welcoming environment.

Our daycare and early learning centre is a convenient choice for local families in Bayswater, Bassendean, Embleton and Maylands. Great Beginnings Bayswater offers long day care and a kindergarten program for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with extended hours to suit  busy families. The Bayswater Child Care Association prides itself on our community engagement.
The two managers are amazing and always helping out with any requirements. The team at Kip has taken such good care of my very energetic and playful golden retriever. His tail wags each morning he arrives, and he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up. They have also been great at monitoring and managing is behavioural "quirks" (e.g. trying to eat his tail!).
Knox Children and Family Centre (Bayswater) is operated by Knox City Council, which contributes 0% to the total available child care capacity in Victoria. We believe that the best way for a child to develop the educational building blocks for their future is through play. While playing, a child can experiment with new ideas, test theories and understanding, express creative ability and share their emotions.
