The first step in enrolling in our Starter courses for 6-10 year old, is attending one of our FREE trial classes. This allows us to place them in the right level course based on their abilities.

Paper is provided to drawing students for the course, and drawing materials are available for use within the class. Drawing students are not required to purchase any materials in order to do a course. However, if students already have pencils and rubbers etc., however, it is helpful if they are used in the class. Finally, we are passionate about the transformative power of art. Through our NDIS art workshops, we have seen first hand the positive impact that creativity can have on individuals with disabilities. From increased confidence and self-esteem, to improved communication and social skills. Art has the potential to unlock a world of possibilities for our participants. She breaks her lessons down into simple steps that any child can follow.
It is great social development for them, especially at a day in age where electronics can dominate their social environment. To us what is unique about the program is that in the beginning of every class the children learn about the history of the artist and the art medium they will be working on for that day. What truly stands out as well is that at the end of the class there is a critique period where all the children gather their art work and they get to choose and critique their peers’ work.

They combine full time art tutoring with their personal exhibition schedules. By the end of the program, each student will have completed a finished portrait ready for submission to the Young Archie competition. This experience not only provides an opportunity to showcase their skills on a prestigious platform but also encourages them to express their individuality and creativity, celebrating their unique artistic voices. Throughout the term, students will study the styles and techniques of renowned Australian artists, including Margaret Olley and Brett Whiteley. They will learn how to use intricate detail and storytelling, bold and expressive compositions, and vibrant, symbolic designs to bring their portraits to life.
Please call the office if you wish to use a creative kids voucher to redeem kids holiday workshops or courses. No credit is given for missed classes for the cost of enrolment in subsequent terms. Missed classes cannot be given to friends, or family, of an enrolled student. Different art lecturers have different approaches to teaching art. I try to be flexible, so as to allow the student to develop their individual approach, while still developing skills. Students can initiate their own projects to work on, or the lecturer can set specific exercises and tasks.
