We loved testing this stroller and only had a few small cons. First, it's large and heavy, and even when folded it's relatively large. It's still smaller than most other single-to-double strollers, but worth mentioning.
Assembly is quick, the one-handed fold and (deep) recline are genuinely useful, and the ride is smooth and controlled thanks to large rubber tires and suspension. Maneuverability is excellent, even when fully loaded, and the stroller glides easily over sidewalks, curbs, and uneven terrain. The seating is comfortable with multiple recline positions (including lay-flat), adjustable footrests, and thoughtful touches like peek-a-boo windows and soft, high-quality fabrics. Storage is another highlight, with a massive under-seat basket and convenient pockets for everyday essentials. Most kids use a stroller regularly until age 3-4, and occasionally until 5 for longer outings. If you’re planning a second child, a stroller that converts to a double is worth the investment. For a single child, a durable everyday stroller will easily carry you through toddlerhood without needing an upgrade.
The materials say the stroller can handle kids up to 50 pounds, but my much lighter, average height 4-year-old had to scrunch to fit. Still, for basic use for the younger set, the Graco Modes Pramette is perfectly adequate, which is perfectly awesome for the price. To get that small, it has a lot of flexible joints and tiny wheels. The combination can make the Sparrow feel more rickety than others on our list.
Adjusting the seat position via the toggle mechanism can be challenging when the child is seated, and the one-pull harness system was not as smooth as it sounds and may require some getting used to. What we don't loveOur tester commented that the "handle height is not adjustable, so for anyone taller than 5ft 5” (I, for reference, am 5ft 3”), you will feel like you’re stooping. Easy to fold up, fits well in my small sedan, and very mobile.
