We have no problem staying in places like this but just so you know the places I’m recommending here are not for the high maintenance or luxury traveller! They’re for medium to long-term budget backpackers or travellers that want somewhere cheap, in a great location, that’s comfortable and at a really cheap price. I wanted to not just spend my vacation abroad, I wanted to spend time as actively as possible. The previous distributor would have such an order of magnitude more expensive.

Here you will find hipster and artsy bars with unique cocktails. At some point, you should visit famous temples such as Wat Pho and Wat Arun along the riverside. I love strolling up and down the aisles and seeing what I can find. They will always ask for more money, especially for foreigners. Don’t ever listen to a Tuk Tuk driver who tells you that a temple is closed but that they can take you to open one. You can take a taxi from one end of the town to the other for less than $10.
